Much Too Much is the fifth track of English rock band The Who's debut album, My Generation. It is the first original on the album to not be a part of a single (the first song that is not part of a single would be a cover of James Brown's I Don't Mind).
A quote from the song's composer, Pete Townshend, could be found in the album's liner notes: I like the beginning of this. Sounds like Barry McGuire, doesn't it? Very sort of folksy, 'Green, Green'." [1]
